While at The Coalition I worked on the VFX for a few real-time cinematics on Gears Tactics.

In general I repurposed existing assets to match the visual design where possible. I created all new weapon and blood effects and a new close up Hammer of Dawn explosion.

0:04 - Distant Hammer of Dawn strikes. New and repurposed existing textures to make new explosions.

0:17 to 0:27 - Hammer of Dawn strikes close up and distant. Repurposed existing geocache meshes with new explosion elements. Bullet tracers and some blowing dust.

0:29 to 0:39 - Ash, embers, and dust.

0:40 to 0:50 - Ash, embers, dust, spot fires. Some background fire and smoke. (Most of the BG fire was already setup.)

0:51 - Muzzle flashes, bullet tracers, and background fire and smoke.

0:55 to 1:09 - Dust and debris, muzzle flashes, bullet tracers, blood impacts and animated decals.

1:10 to 1:15 - Grenade glow, tweaked and optimized existing grenade explosion and added additional smoke.

1:16 to 1:35 - Muzzle flashes, bullet tracers, bullet impacts, blood impacts, smoke.
